In The National Park of Aigüestortes you will have the opportunity to discover a great paradise for Country Skiing, one of the largest in the Pyrenees. The snowy white valleys, the many frozen lakes and the high summits make of “Els Encantst” a wonderful place to practice Country Skiing at all levels. It is an ideal spot for everybody, beginners and experienced. The great variety of peaks and slops around will allow to all country ski lovers to enjoy.

As well describes it’s name, “Encantats”, you will we delighted after spending 5 days enjoying unforgettable evenings in the comfortable refuges. During the route, you will have to face differences of height in between 600m and 1.000m, passing by the refuges of La Restanca, Colomers, Ventosa, Estany Llong, Amitges, Saboredo… Be sure that it will be an unforgettable experience..

The route

Day 1: Arrival to Vall d’Aran. Overhaul of the equipment with the guide and welcome briefing and explanations about the route and the security protocols in our “Guides’ Place’s” office in Vielha.

Day 2: Vielha-Pont de Rius – Restanca. Meeting point the “Guides’ Place” in Vielha, early in the morning. Personal and security equipment control. Transfer by van to Pont de Resec -at 1.630m-. Ascension to the refuge of La Restanca, at 2.010m, through the forest.

Day 3: Restanca – Ventosa y Calvell. First climb up to the pass of La Crestada (2.470 m). After, ascension to the summit of peak Montardo (2.833 m). Finally, incredible descent to the lakes of Travessani and the refuge of Ventosa y Calvell, at 2.200 m.

Day 4: Ventosa y Calvell – Colomers. The soft valley of the lakes of Colieto will take us to the Port de Caldes at 2.598 m. After a short run, we will climb the peak of Travessani, 2.738 m. Descent to the circus of Colomers and the new refuge of Colomers (2.085 m), where the guard will cook for us his specialty: lake trouts.

Day 5: Colomers – Saboredo. Through the lake of Obago and the valley La Ratera we will arrive to the Port de la Ratera at 2.600 m. If the weather conditions permit, we will climb up to the peak La Ratera, at 2.862 m. After that, we will descent to the small refuge of Saboredo, at 2.300 m, which we may find it half buried under the snow.

Day 6: Saboredo-Vielha. Ascent to the pass of Sendrosa, at 2.450 m, crossing the ridges and run down to the valley and Baños de Tredós. Transfer to Vielha. Afternoon briefing in Vielha.
